This is Sam. I sometimes wonder how and why some people end up living on the street. Sam lost his job several years ago and just gave up. He now lives in the woods. I've been passed this area several more times and haven't seen him since.

Homeless in NYC

I have been able to have time to wlk around Manhattan and have notice the "homeless in hiding". I will be posting photos of some of them as I get them.

This is Sam. He's 76 years old. He grew up in Georgia, moved to Florida and then recently came to NY. He was playing a duct tape repaired guitar on 9th Ave and 58th street. He said that once a person is down this far it's impossible to get going again. He said it was too hot in Florida.
